On a search for Zora Hurston

Walker on his search for Zora's grave finds a series of different clues and finds out things about her from other people's prospective. People that she starts asking starts saying different stories about Zora. One says that her funeral was lonesome and that no one really bothered with it. But two others say that everyone cared and pitched in to bury her. They respected her and loved her and wanted a good funeral for her, but did not really. She got clues out of the way people treated her and were towards her in their opinion. Many of them did not know Zora themselves but would talk about what they would hear. Just like the towns people would in their tradition. They only talk about what they hear, and do not really know what really happened. She finds out a lot about her own culture and how they are through her journey. She builds up on what others tell her but in a respectful way, knowing that they are accurate and not rumors. She grows awareness of how the people are and compares them to characters in Their Eyes Were Watching God.

  1. I like your perspective on the story, its different and true. I think you could have expanded on it more though.
